Adaptation Music welcomes back South African producer Octopuz following on from his brilliant first release '4 U', this time with the three tracker 'Black Orchid EP'. Fans of the label will know that we pride ourselves on the old school sound and this release certainly follows suit; a fusion of classic west coast deep U.S house and South African deepness evident throughout all three tracks, which are suited to multiple musical scenarios from beach, to bar, to club.

Octopuz, also known as DJ Octopuz started producing music in 1999 and set up his first label B-Loud Records four years later. Since 2013 he's been running Ancestral Recordings which showcases some of the finest local house music talents alongside his own productions and he's also been signed to labels in the U.S and Europe. Not only a producer, hence the name, he holds down a regular DJ residency in his home town of Bloemfontein, South Africa and has played alongside the likes of Black Coffee, Ralf GUM, Vinny Da Vinci, Tortured Soul and many more.
